UK researchers claim coolness of gaming28 July 2017
Researchers Karol Dzhey Borovetskiy and Hasan Bakhshi at British NGO Nesta have published an analysis of 10 000 people survey. According to it, gamers are equal to average people in socio-economic terms. And even more.
The research showed that video games lovers are well educated, tolerant and more likely to engage with other cultures. Moreover, people who play read, paint, visit theaters and museums as well as and practice other art.
By the way, all quizzed people were UK national adults. It is not the first research on video games influence on socialization and mental well-being. Results of the majority of them are similar to those published by Nesta in July 2017.
