This year, the third Dota 2 Minor will take place in Ukraine. Competition will be held in Kyiv at the Cyber Sport Arena on March 10. Open and closed online qualifiers are scheduled for February.

StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor: qualifiers

Qualifiers of StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor are traditionally divided into open and closed ones. All of them will take place in six different regions in the period from February 7 to 12. Users will have a possibility to watch all tournaments of closed qualifiers online. Streams will be available in Russian and English languages.

Open qualifiers are scheduled for February 7-8 and will take place on FACEIT platform. One team from North America, two teams from the CIS, two teams from South-East Asia, and three teams from Europe will join closed qualifiers.

Closed qualifiers will take place from February 9 to 13, 2019. Winners of every region will gain invitations to the LAN final of StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor; two teams will represent the CIS and China. Organizers of StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor have already sent invitations to the closed qualifiers to participants from the CIS: Gambit Esports, The Pango, Old But Gold, and Pavaga.

Closed qualifiers for the CIS, South-East Asia, and North America will take place on February 9-10; China, Europe, South America – February 11-12, 2019.

Schedule of closed qualifiers

  • South-East Asia – 09.02 and 10.02, starts at 7:00 Kyiv time;
  • CIS – 09.02 and 10.02, starts at 20:00 Kyiv time;
  • North America – 09.02 and 10.02, starts at 23:00 Kyiv time;
  • China – 11.02 and 12.02, starts at 7:00 Kyiv time;
  • Europe – 11.02 and 13.02, starts at 14:00 Kyiv time;
  • South America – 11.02 and 12.02, starts at 23:00 Kyiv time.

At the third StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, participants of closed qualifiers are distributed in the following way.

This time, Gambit, Old but Gold, The Pango, and Pavaga will represent the CIS. Boom-ID and Lotac will represent South-East Asia. Chinese teams are Aster, Vici Gaming, Royal Never Give-up. Rei do picole and Thunder Predator will represent South America.

Teams that will take from the 4th to the 6th places in DreamLeague Season 11 qualifiers will represent North America and Europe.

LAN final of StarLadder ImbaTV Minor: dates

DPC Valve has corrected the network of upcoming tournaments. Minors and Majors will take place in pairs, and e-sports teams will not have a possibility to play at two tournaments simultaneously. Besides, the team that wins the first place at the Minor will receive a slot at the closest Major in the tournament bracket. The second Minor competition, Dota 2 The Bucharest Minor, took place in Romania on January 9 and 13, 2019.

The third tournament, StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, will take place in Kyiv, at Cyber Sport Arena, on March 10. The Minor will be open for visitors and tickets will go for sale in the middle of February. This time, teams will compete for the huge prize fund – $300,000.

This sum will be shared between the participants of StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor in the following way:

  • 1 place – $125,000
  • 2 place – $70,000
  • 3 place – $35,000
  • 4 place – $25,000
  • 5 and 6 place – $15,000 each
  • 7 and 8 place – $7,500 each

Besides, the prize fund includes 500 Dota Pro Circuit points. Moreover, the winner will receive an invitation to the Major planned for the same month – DreamLeague Season 11.

The next DreamLeague Season 11 will take place soon after the Kyiv Minor – from March 14 to 24 in Stockholm, Sweden. The prize fund of the championship is bigger: it will comprise 15,000 Dota Pro Circuit points and $1 million. Overall, 16 e-sports teams will participate in the Major.
