From participants to judges: Moon-ka to assess crafting of a cosplay show at WEGAME 5.004 February 2019
Winner of the category ‘Video games’ at WEGAME 3.0, creator of supercomplex costumes, and just crafting fan Oksana Sherstyuk will be a judge of a cosplay show at WEGAME 5.0.
Oksana [Moon-ka] Sherstyuk has been involved in cosplay since 2015. However, she started sewing and crafting for others far earlier. Moon-ka graduated from sewing courses and has been creating unusual costumes for 15 years. What is more, Oksana has been a professional crafting expert for three recent years.
Oksana designed 20 fully-fledged craft cosplay costumes for various universes, both personal and customized. She is fond of new crafting technologies and constantly tests cutting-edge tools and solutions. Particularly, she works with such materials and techniques as EVA, PVC, Worbla, BubbleStar, 3D printing, casting, molding, and sculpting.
“At some point, I got bored with sewing ordinary stuff. I tried plastics and unusual styles. As I saw people’s happy faces around armor and successful images, I decided to try them on and… fell in love.”
“I got a second wind in art. I saw endless possibilities to apply my skills and develop them. I love cosplay very much for its versatility and a chance to find your passion,” confesses Moon-ka.
As commented by a judge of cosplay show at WEGAME 5.0, it was namely cosplay that helped Oksana find her life mission. Due to it, crafting became her main and favorite profession. As far as a year, Oksana [Moon-ka] Sherstyuk has been working in her crafting studio of cosplay costumes at Fenindom.
