Katerina Markush: 'We have already started preparing for the next festival'

05 October 2016 Katerina Markush: 'We have already started preparing for the next festival'

The regular WEGAME has finished successfully! This spring we will have the continuation! The press service of the festival has communicated to Katerina Markush, a curator of the biggest game event in Ukraine, and found out the plans of the organizers. So, what can we expect from WEGAME 3.0?

WEGAME: Will there be any major changes? What exactly will remain the same?

Katerina: We plan to grow, so some new activities will be added. Cosplay and cyber activities as well as demo areas will become bigger and better. We are planning to diversify the festival content; we want to make a separate conference area and to increase the number of speakers. More details will be delivered closer to the event.

WEGAME: Will we meet some 'old friends' at the festival this spring?

Katerina: It is too early to talk about some specific companies. However, I can assure you that "old friends" will be there. Negotiations have already begun, but I will not lay my cards on the table. We are beginning to prepare for the next festival, collect opinions and feedbacks in order to make the next event even more extensive and interesting.

WEGAME: How many visitors will the next festival be able to receive?

Katerina: The second WEGAME was larger than the first one both in terms of number of visitors and participants. This is easily explained by the fact that we increased the exhibition area; the number of people willing to participate in the cosplay competition was larger. We plan to do the third festival even 2 times greater. Applications are already come in, so I have all grounds for such a statement.
