Korean gamer won StarCraft tournament with his left foot and got banned

12 December 2017 Korean gamer won StarCraft tournament with his left foot and got banned

Some victories come easier than others, but how insignificant the task has to be for someone to do it with their left foot? Apparently, this approach seemed too offensive to organizers of StarCraft Zotac Cup Masters: Remastered competition, because they banned the player who won the showmatch.

In the grand finale of Zotac Cup Masters Showmatch, a Korean cyberathlete Lim "Larva" Hong Gyu defeated a Chinese progamer Luo "Legend" Xian with a score of 3-0, even though he played with his foot at the end of the match. In addition to the $10,000 prize, the Korean gamer got a ban on participating in tournaments held under the Zotac aegis.

The organizers also stated that Larva has to apologize to Legend for his behavior. However, the cyberathlete didn’t really care about the ban and has no intention to apologize. As Lim Hong Gyu noted, he was going to apologize to his opponent but he changed his mind when Legend refused to listen to him at all and later called him garbage on social media.
