Steam games are now on sale in Ukrainian hryvnia and Kuwaiti dinar as well

26 September 2017 Steam games are now on sale in Ukrainian hryvnia and Kuwaiti dinar as well

Brightrock Games studio announced the addition of several new national currencies as means of payment for video game content on Steam service. Ukrainian hryvnia is among other. The exact date of adding a new function was not reported, but it will happen in the coming weeks.

New currencies being supported include:

  • Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH)
  • Argentinian peso (ARS)
  • Uruguayan peso (UYU)
  • Vietnamese dong (VND)
  • Kuwaiti dinar (KWD)
  • Kazakhstani tenge (KZT)
  • Polish zloty (PLN)
  • Australian dollar (AUD)
  • Costa Rican colon (CRC)
  • Israeli new shekel (ILS)
  • Qatari rial (QAR)

According to representatives of Brightrock Games, changes will be implemented as soon as game developers adapt products being sold on Steam to it. Ukrainians most likely will be able to save more on the next big sale on Steam, because difference in rates when transferring prices to US dollars will not stop them.
