New Minecraft world record

23 January 2018 New Minecraft world record

The famous game Minecraft has broken a record in the number of gamers: according to the statement of the project curator, Helen Chiang, 74 million people played Minecraft during December. This is the largest number of active gamers since the game began its existence in 2009.

This impressive result has surpassed the marks of such global giants as Fortnite (40 million) and Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (25 million). Moreover, according to estimates, 144 million copies of Minecraft were sold during the game’s existence.

The project manager added that this confirms the fact that gamers return to the game. At the same time, players express dissatisfaction with the fact that there haven’t been any major updates in Minecraft for a long time. In this regard, the curator promised that this year, there will be many novelties for the fans.
