360 Hz monitor for esports athletes
Asus and Nvidia have presented a collaborative solution: ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz G-SYNC display. Its diagonal is 24.5 inches, resolution – 1080p. The most important thing: it is the world’s first 360 Hz display.
According to developers, G-SYNC technology will allow to gain the 360 Hz update rate without breaks and long delays. The revolutionary device is primarily designed for esports players participating in Overwatch, Fortnite, CS:GO, and other competitions.
Razer Kishi: Switch-style controller
Razer has announced Kishi mobile gaming controllers based on the Switch concept and available for Android and iOS. The device was developed along with Gamevice producing console controllers for mobile gadgets.
Razer Kishi allows to play games of different complexity and features the low latency. Perhaps, you will be able to play via cloud services akin to Project xCloud using the controller. It will be on sale from the first decade of 2020.
World’s first 5G computer by Lenovo
Lenovo introduced the world’s first 5G laptop called Yoga 5G at CES 2020. The company showed a pre-release version in 2019. Now, we can see a ready-made product. The device operates on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx, a 5G platform.
Developers assert that it can function within 24 hours on a single charge and is equipped with the 14" Full HD IPS screen. The minimum cost of Lenovo Yoga 5G is $1499. Reportedly, it will hit the market in the first half of the year. It will be called Flex 5G in some countries.
Nvidia Ampere characteristics are unveiled
Yuanta Securities Investment Consulting Co has shared the details of Nvidia GeForce Ampere next-gen video cards. These cards are expected to be 50% more powerful than Turing. Besides, Ampere graphics processors will be finally built on a 7nm fabrication process unlike Turing processors on a 12nm manufacturing process.
Its competitor, AMD, has been long applying Navi video chips based on the 7nm technological process. NVIDIA will make up for the delay only in the second half of this year. Ampere video cards will be allegedly presented in August 2020.
Asus to release two gaming laptops: ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15
Asus has presented two new gaming laptops: ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15. Devices are equipped with the eight core AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS processor with 35-watt heat production. Moreover, both laptops can boast up to 32GB DDR4 RAM.
As the name suggests, devices have different diagonals and various matrix update rates. Devices use different video cards: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 in G14, and RTX 2060 or GTX 1660 Ti in G15.
