Ukrainian ARVI Lab presented a new product at WEGAME 5.0. Attendees could play the demo version of the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game designed for VR.

ARVI Lab is a leading Ukrainian VR developer with more than three years in the development of new-generation multiplayer games. The innovative company makes products for two main areas: virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

We talked to reps of ARVI Lab to learn about the distinctive features of their new product as well as why it attracts gamers.

WEGAME: Tell us about the company’s activities and what new product you presented to attendees of WEGAME 5.0.

M.P.: ARVI Lab works on the creation of VR zones, virtual reality, games, and entertainment events in this field.

We presented the product created in the new genre for us – MOBA VR game called WARFARE REALM. Those familiar with MOBAs such as League of Legends and Dota will find it interesting to try out our demo version where one can immerse into the virtual reality of this genre.

WARFARE REALM is a demo project from our company, available only at specialized exhibitions in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. We also showed the game at some European events.

WEGAME: How long has the company been working on this project and which realization stage does it undergo?

M.P.: We have many VR projects. For the last two years, we have been working with escape rooms and have realized their multiplayer versions intended for groups from two to six people. Besides, we worked on the tower defense direction, so we are trying different genres.

We started from single player games, but multiplayer is a more popular direction today, so we switched over to it. We launched the project, the demo version of which we presented at the booth, half a year ago. During this time, ARVI Lab was engaged in the development. We have not considered the commercial launch of WARFARE REALM yet.

WEGAME: Was the audience interested in the game and what exactly attracted people?

M.P.: People were standing in a queue to playWARFARE REALM. Literally, in the first two hours of the event, we filled out the timetable for both festival days, strictly according to the session time. Later people were coming and asking whether there were places available in case someone did not show up. Of course, we provided a possibility to play and assess if we had vacant places.

Guests had very positive feedbacks. People are especially interested in the game, as the multiplayer sector is not well developed, although VR products are available. We are trying to realize such projects and present them to gamers.

WEGAME: How would you assess WEGAME in comparison with foreign exhibitions that your company attended?

M.P.: In fact,foreignexhibitionsdiffer only in terms of their scale, and the scope is similar. We did not have time to assess other booths, as we focused on ours – we had a great number of attendees. However, we managed to watch the cosplay show on the main stage, and it was truly cool.

It is also nice that there was a possibility to have a snack, as we attended some exhibitions where this was a problem. It is great that there were places to sit, as again there were events where you would hardly find some. So I believe that everything was organized at a high level.
