WEGAME 2.0 participants held the eSports festival Game Weekend

27 December 2016 WEGAME 2.0 participants held the eSports festival Game Weekend

The eSports festival Game Weekend was held on December 24-25. WEGAME press service visited this event to share its most interesting moment with you.

The event was organized by WEGAME 2.0 participants – eSports community “Gamesys”. They had held a Herthstone tournament during our last event and rewarded winners with gamers’ equipment.

Game Weekend took place in the territory of a “Karavan” roller rink. The entrance was free for all viewers. The major part of the event was a grand final of Kyiv non-pro Gamesys eSports League with a prize pool of 35 000 UAH. Competitions were held for the following eSports disciplines:

  • League of Legends;
  • CS:GO;
  • Dota 2;
  • Hearthstone.

Great work was done by invited eSports commentators. There were also cosplayers dressed as game characters. It was them who entertained the audience when the main screen switched off during LoL competition.

The festival also involved photo and gaming zones where tournaments for visitors were held. In general, the event wasn’t a large-scale one but all the visitors and participants had enough space to feel themselves comfortable and have a good time.
