Overwatch will sell skins with eSports teams’ symbols

05 December 2017 Overwatch will sell skins with eSports teams’ symbols

Blizzard Director of eSports development, Nate Nanzer, talked about the forthcoming updates in the Overwatch game.

In preparation for the Overwatch League championship, the characters will appear in uniforms of participating cybersport teams.

The nice thing about it is that these skins will be available not only for cyber athletes themselves, but also for their fans. According to Nate Nanzer, this is a kind of alternative to purchasing T-shirts of your favorite club in traditional sports.

The offer will be activated on January 10, 2018. The skins can be purchased for a special in-game currency, League Token. Perhaps, in the near future it will be used to sell another loot associated with the championship.

Also, Blizzard Director noted that all Overwatch players will receive an amount of League Tokens, which will be enough to purchase a single uniform skin. To get more skins, you will have to purchase the in-game currency for real money.
